What to expect?

From this full-day program, You’ll go into the field to gain unique insights and practical experience in a range of science careers. Experience for yourself how scientists from different backgrounds like geology, biology, planning and environmental science work together to make decisions on conservation, climate change, urban growth and many other areas that affect not only global issues, but our everyday lives.  

To help with your career goals, JCU Advisors will be on hand to provide information about JCU science courses.
  

Can I apply?

If you’re in Year 11 or 12 and based within the Far North and North Queensland regions, you can apply to be a part of the Heroes in Science program.


We also encourage students from outside these regions, whom are willing to travel to submit an application. Travel scholarships are available to successful applicants that meet criteria.
