Identify an issue in the world that you are passionate about and explore how the social sciences can help you make a positive impact.

You can write about any topic past or present, and tackle it through any social science, including anthropology, archaeology, sociology, politics or criminology.

Essays should be 800 - 1000 words.

Entries will be shortlisted and featured on JCU Social Media pages to celebrate Social Sciences Week.

The competition runs from 1 August 2020 to 22 August 2020, and winners will be announced 7 September 2020.
